Magforms,P10, 3D Printing
In the field of precision manufacturing, details determine success. Whether it's jewelry design, anime models, or dental mold creation, every curve and texture is crucial. To allow designers and engineers to quickly transform creative ideas into high-precision physical models, Magforms introduces the P10 3D printer – a high-performance device combining speed, precision, and stability, offering an excellent choice for these industries.
Similar to many industries using traditional manufacturing methods, jewelry, collectible model, and dental applications previously relied on manual labor or injection molding for prototyping and production. However, these methods often struggle to balance efficiency and precision. The emergence of the P10 is helping more and more studios break free from complex process flows, achieving greater freedom and efficiency in digital production.
The Magforms P10 boasts a build volume of 228×128×250mm and utilizes grayscale management XY pixel technology to achieve a resolution of 14.85μm. This enables the clear reproduction of delicate textures and complex structures in models. Combined with its self-developed array light source technology, which helps maintain uniform exposure across the printing plane, dimensional accuracy is controlled within 0.05mm. Its detail representation approaches the level of mainstream DLP equipment.
Technical Features
During the development of the P10, the team identified areas for improvement in traditional VAT photopolymerization technology. For example, printing taller models could be time-consuming, or the precision at the edges of large-sized models could be easily compromised.
Magforms addressed these common challenges by improving the light source system. The P10 employs a self-developed array light source technology. This technology integrates multiple LCD beads arranged in a specific pattern and packaged together on the same metal substrate, topped with an industrial-grade projection lens. This setup reduces the light source divergence angle, enhances light intensity, and improves light source uniformity and printing success rates. Simultaneously, it reduces the number of beads required for the same printing area, effectively overcoming technical challenges of existing light source systems such as high cost, high power consumption, significant heat generation, instability, and uneven light distribution.
The smooth transitions and excellent detail brought by grayscale management technology also allow the P10 to maintain high precision during operation. Standard binarized pixels tend to produce stair-step patterns, whereas the P10, by increasing grayscale pixels, achieves more rounded arcs and smoother inclined surfaces, resulting in fine, smooth sample surfaces free of visible pixel lines and layer lines.
The P10's hardware is equally impressive. It is equipped with industrial-grade P series high-precision dual linear guides with a travel parallel accuracy of 7μm. Even when printing at the full 250mm height, the sample surface remains flat without water-wave patterns. Furthermore, with a pixel size of only 29.7μm, it delivers excellent printing texture. Whether for jewelry or anime models, it can perfectly present intricate details.
Application Value
The introduction of the Magforms P10 provides an ideal choice for fields such as jewelry design, anime model making, and dental mold fabrication. It can shorten model production time while ensuring high precision, enabling small and medium-sized studios to perform batch production at a lower cost.
