Precision 3D Printing Empowers Footwear Factory Upgrade: Successful Delivery of SL800 and Lab300
We’ve been busy handling shipments recently, carefully packing one SL800 3D printer, two Lab300 printers, and all related accessories and sending them off to our long-term customers in the UK. This marks their third order with us.
This customer runs a footwear factory. Initially, they were using 3D printers from another brand. However, these printers failed to deliver the required precision, struggling to accurately reproduce intricate details on the shoe molds, such as dot patterns, sharp edges, and complex embossing textures.
Without the ability to precisely replicate designs, the customer faced challenges in efficiently completing design validation, which, in turn, impacted product development and manufacturing timelines.
Additionally, while the customer had fully paid for the equipment, they were still required to request dynamic passwords from the brand each month to adjust print parameters for different materials. Without these passwords, they were restricted to using a specific resin that costs $70 more per 10kg barrel compared to other similar resins. With each printer consuming 40kg of resin per month, this led to an extra annual cost of $3,360 per machine.
Discovering a High-Precision 3D Printing Solution at the Industry Exhibition
In their search for a higher-precision 3D printing solution, the customer attended an additive manufacturing industry exhibition, where they discovered our company. The shoe mold samples displayed at our booth, all printed with the SL800, immediately caught their attention.
SL800’s outstanding printing precision (L≤100mm: ±0.15 mm, L＞100mm: ±0.15%xL) allows for the accurate reproduction of complex textures and intricate details on shoe molds. It is paired with the precise German Scanlab Galvanometer and the stable AOC laser, which together enhance the roundness of the laser spot, ensuring higher dimensional accuracy during the printing process.
Building a Long-Term Partnership with Lasting Benefits
When the customer learned that we provide a permanent password upon full payment—eliminating the need for monthly dynamic password requests—they were delighted. This significantly simplified their operation and allowed for greater flexibility in material selection. Following productive discussions, we successfully reached an agreement to move forward with the partnership.
Now, with the successful delivery of these machines, we look forward to seeing our customer enhance their production efficiency with the SL800 and Lab300 printers, marking the beginning of a new chapter in our collaboration.
