Vacuum casting is a manufacturing methods suitable for small batch production. First immerse the master printed by SLA 3D printers in the silicone to form the mold. Then pour the 3D printing material such as polyurethane into the mold and cast the polyurethane under vacuum. Finally, separate the silicone mold and take out the parts casted.
During the industrial design process, it is necessary to repeatedly generate different functions and types of parts. While traditional methods have many drawbacks such as long production lead times, high labor intensity, poor accuracy, and high costs, 3D printing technology allows for quick, easy, and accurate access to the required part models.
Industrial design is a creative activity where different products and different designers need to use various equipment and tools to assist in the design process, most of which are made by the designers to suit their needs. It can then be done through 3D printing machines instead of spending a lot of time generated by various processing methods.
Compared to traditional manufacturing processes, 3D printing shortens the production process, shortens time, reduces costs, and more. These benefits allow for easy and timely design modifications, while traditional manufacturing techniques, costs, and time are high, and 3D printing allows for quick and flexible small batch pilot production of products.
